Ok, so I just tweeted about my blog and it made me want to give it some love. I also mentioned my thesis in the same tweet so I thought I’d combine the two in a very brief post that I hope I will get some feed back on! (In case you mised it there, that was a shameless plea for you to comment…).
So I am knee deep my thesis now and this is the title:
Spiritual Formation in the Life and Witness of the Local Congregation
My main idea is to explore a bit about what spiritual formation is for individuals and for a community. Then I will look at the evidence that points to a healthy, spiritually formed community being the most effective and compelling tool for evangelism. The last part will dicuss some of the leadership issues that will arise when a congrgation moves in this direction and then tries to stay there.
So I would love to hear thoughts, ideas, resources or whatever comes to your mind when you read that. I feel like I need some inspiration and perspective to re-energize my efforts! So… ready, set, go! (This would be the point where you leave a comment…)
